Do not publish a WCAG conformance level, certification, audit result or response-time commitment unless the bank has verified and approved that claim.
Our approach
The bank aims to make its digital banking information and services usable by as many people as possible. The final accessibility statement should reflect the accessibility standard, conformance target and testing process actually adopted by the bank.
Accessible experience
The website should support clear structure, keyboard navigation, meaningful labels, readable contrast, responsive layouts and assistive-technology-friendly interactions as the design and development process permits.
Alternative assistance
If a customer cannot access information or complete a task through the website, the bank should provide an approved alternative support route. Add the bank’s actual accessibility contact method before publication.
Accessibility feedback
Customers should be able to report accessibility barriers through a verified channel. The production page should state how feedback is handled and any response commitments only if those commitments are approved.
Ongoing improvement
Accessibility should be reviewed as pages, features and digital services change. Any formal audit schedule or compliance claim should be added only when supported by the bank’s documented program.
